This song is inspired by one of Zedeck Siew's Dungeon23 entries. It's tricky to try to explain this world because I feel like I will get it wrong. All I can say is that it doesn't seem to borrow anything from traditional fantasy tropes I am accustomed to and instead leans on what Zedeck calls "Sanskritised myth" that draws on South East Asian lore. When I wrote the music I thought of a party of some sort, perhaps pilgrims. I imagined them traversing a beautiful coastal landscape, heading to see The God-In-Pieces. Perhaps they have questions, perhaps they have quests? Who knows. At one point I was planning on recording vocals but Covid finally caught up with me and my voice was out of commission. In the spirit of keeping this like some sort of notebook I have added the lyrics below. Maybe you can sing along with the song?
