In January of 2023, Kyle Latino tweet that he had started developing lore for his Dungeon23 project. This was enticing news to me since I can't really write a song about a series of unrelated dungeon rooms. I mean, I could but it's not very inspiring. I need some concept or backstory to get me started and I was very happy to learn that Kyle already had something so early in the year. I reached out and Kyle graciously shared some of his notes about Grail Spell, a game designed for the RUNE system and set in what Kyle called "King Arthur's darkest timeline."
