Death Valley (18​)​69

Well it's the end of the year and this one was tough. I had a hard time looking for inspiration and finally it arrived at the 11th hour with Michael Nagenborg's Death Valley 18(69). It's a megadungeon to be used with Frontier Scum, an acid-western style system developed by Den of Druids.
Here's the jist "The inhabitants of Clearwoods have disappeared. Two weeks ago, the first reports reached the Incorporation when traveling sales associates found the streets and houses empty."

Pretty cool huh? The seed of inspiration for me came with thinking about combining the Sonic Youth Death Valley 69 song with the guitar driven Ennio Morricone soundtracks from spaghetti westerns. I don't know if I succeeded but sometimes all it takes is an idea to get you started. That's something I'd never tried before and it was immediately compelling.
