about

A song inspired by a perilous encounter with the infamous acid damage dealing 5x5 rascal.

lyrics

Last thing I remember, I was walking down a hall
In a dark forgotten ruin, there was no one there at all
I was looking for a fortune, I was driven by my greed
I was dreaming of the future instead of looking at my feet

I’m caught in a gelatinous cube
I tried to scream for help but I’m not getting through
I’m caught in a gelatinous cube

Floating right beside me the remains of what appears
To be a half digested wood elf. I can tell by the pointy ears.
And so I wait suspended. In a very awkward pose
And this is how I’ll stay until I slowly decompose

I’m caught in a gelatinous cube
I tried to break away but it didn't do much good
I’m caught in a gelatinous cube

No one hears my laughter as I realize
That all the treasure I have sought is also trapped inside
Gems and crowns and golden rings that meant so much to me
I’d gladly leave them all behind for the chance to be set free

I’m caught in a gelatinous cube
Unless somebody comes and rescues me soon
I’ll die in this gelatinous cube
